Ron Weasley Gets His Girl
The search for Ron Weasley’s girlfriend, Lavender Brown, is over and the lucky girl to star in the next Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, is 20 year old Jessie Cave.
The choice got the thumbs-up from Rupert Grint, who plays Ron. In an interview with CBBC’s news programme, Newsround, in the UK, Rupert said, “I was involved in the audition and Jessie is really cool and it’s going to be really fun.”
Co-star Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, added “Jessie seems really sweet and perfect for the role of Lavender. The casting is so good and I am looking forward to her scenes with Ron. I think it’s going to be quite a comic film.”
Apart from her future role in Harry Potter, Jessie has appeared with Helen Mirren in Inkheart and she also stars in an upcoming BBC drama, Summerhill.
Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is due to be released in November 2008.
Hannah Montana: The Movie Starts Shooting Soon
Fans of Hannah Montana rejoice! Hannah Montana: The Movie is set to begin shooting in late January 2008, i.e. once Miley Cyrus' Best Of Both Worlds live concert tour ends. This movie, like High School Musical 3 will be debuting in cinemas and not the Disney Channel. The movie script has yet to be finalised
My Dad's Weird, Says Miley Cyrus
All you dating teens out there, be very thankful you don’t have a dad like Billy Ray Cyrus. In an interview with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus said her dad gets weird when it comes to her dating. “The other day I had one of my guy friends over and my dad was... hiding in the kitchen,” Miley tells Oprah. “We were outside just like hanging out and I look around and my dad's standing there. He's standing there with his German shepherd dog watching us and I'm like, 'Dad, you're gonna scare him. I'm not going to have any more friends.' "
Daddy Cyrus apparently can’t bring himself to accept that his 14 year old daughter is at that dating stage. He tells Oprah that he’s being like any other dad with a teenage daughter. Of the incident, Billy says he was just joking around with Miley’s friend and that he wasn’t really checking up on her. “They knew I was there. It’s not like I was spying.”
Of course, he didn’t explain why the dog was there.

Once again heading the cast, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are reprising their roles as young wizards Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who are facing new challenges and dangers in the wake of Lord Voldemort’s return. They will be reunited with returning “Harry Potter” cast members, including Helena Bonham Carter, David Bradley, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Tom Felton, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Natalia Tena, Julie Walters and David Thewlis, as well as Evanna Lynch, Matthew Lewis and Bonnie Wright.

Academy Award winner Jim Broadbent (Iris, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) has been set to play Potions Professor Horace Slughorn, who gives Harry an old Potions textbook that had once belonged to the Half-Blood Prince, which proves invaluable to the young wizard. Award-winning actress Helen McCrory (Becoming Jane, The Queen) will play Narcissa Malfoy, mother to Draco Malfoy and sister to the evil Bellatrix Lestrange.
